TOEFL Junior® tests use the most up-to-date methods for language testing and are fair, reliable and valid for their intended purposes. Plus, TOEFL Junior® test scores are mapped to CEFR levels to measure achievement against an international standard and give you a more in-depth understanding of your students' English proficiency levels.
There are two TOEFL Junior® tests: the TOEFL Junior® Standard test, which can be delivered on paper or digitally, and the digitally delivered TOEFL Junior® Speaking test. Each test measures different English-language skills. Both tests provide reliable administration and scoring, and scores are mapped to CEFR levels.
TOEFL Junior® Standard test
A paper-delivered test that measures Reading Comprehension, Listening Comprehension, and Language Form and Meaning. The TOEFL Junior® Standard test is currently available in over 65 countries around the world.
TOEFL Junior® Speaking test
A digitally delivered test that measures the student's ability to communicate orally in English in an academic classroom.

TOEFL Junior® Speaking Test Design
For a complete look at a student's English-language ability, the TOEFL Junior® Speaking test, which is digitally administered, measures the skills needed to communicate successfully in English. It consists of the following:

The TOEFL Junior® Standard Test is scored locally by ETS Preferred Network offices and features fast turnaround time.
TOEFL Junior ® Test scores are determined by the number of questions a student has answered correctly. There is no penalty for wrong answers. The number of correct responses on each section is converted to a scale score of 200–300 points. The total score is a sum of the three section scores and therefore ranges from 600–900 points.

The TOEFL Junior ® Speaking test score report provides a score range from 0–16. These scores are linked to the scoring guide used to score Speaking tasks to help teachers, students and parents better understand the meaning of the scores. The test scores are accompanied by performance descriptors.
